DIY Mineral-Rich Herbal Tincture Recipe for immunity

Here’s a simple herbal immunity tincture recipe you can make at home with just a few ingredients—some of which you might even find in your backyard! If not, you can easily order them online. I personally love using iHerb for quality herbs and always shop through Rakuten to earn cash back on my purchases.

Ingredients

  • 3 parts alfalfa leaf: saponins, flavonoids, phytoestrogens, and coumarins. These extracts can support overall wellness, bone health, hormone balance, and cardiovascular function.
  • 2 parts red raspberry leaf: tannins, flavonoids, alkaloids (like fragarine), ellagic acid, and some vitamins and minerals from red raspberry leaf. This makes red raspberry leaf tinctures excellent for supporting reproductive health, toning tissues, reducing inflammation, and providing antioxidant support.
  • 2 parts dandelion leaf: flavonoids, phenolics, vitamins, and bitters—that support liver health, digestion, and overall wellness.
  • 1 part stevia: Adds a natural sweetness to balance the flavor.

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Herbs
    • Start with dried herbs or dry fresh herbs before use.
    • Gently crush the herbs to release their natural properties.
  2. Fill the Jar
    • Place the herbs into a clean glass jar, filling it about 1/3 to 1/2 full.
  3. Add Liquid
    • Pour boiling water over the herbs just enough to dampen them.
    • Fill the rest of the jar with your alcohol of choice—I recommend 80-proof vodka for a neutral flavor.
  4. Steep
    • Seal the jar tightly and let it sit in a cool, dark place for 6 weeks.
    • Shake the jar daily to encourage extraction.
  5. Strain and Store
    • After 6 weeks, strain the liquid through a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer into dark-colored glass bottles.
    • Label the jars and store them in a cool, dark place.

Dosage

  • Adults: 1 tablespoon per day.
  • Children: 1/2 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon per day, mixed into juice or applesauce for easier consumption.

This mineral-rich tincture is a great way to support your family’s health naturally. Enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing exactly what’s in your medicine cabinet!
