Expandable water hose from Temu

Review: Expandable Hose from Temu – A Disappointing Purchase

I bought this expandable hose from Temu hoping it would save space and eliminate the hassle of lugging around a heavy garden hose. Unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. Here’s my experience:

The Problems

  1. Cheap Materials:
    • The nozzle included with the hose felt extremely flimsy, made of cheaper plastic than what you’d find at Dollar Tree.
    • Both quick-connect fittings on the hose leaked, making it impossible to use without water spilling everywhere.
  2. Slow to Expand:
    • It took over 10 minutes for the hose to fully expand after turning on the water. You either have to wait for it to fill completely or come back later.
    • If you try to use it before it’s fully expanded, you’ll only get a weak trickle of water from the nozzle.
  3. Wrong Size:
    • I ordered the 100-foot version but received a 50-foot hose instead. The narrow diameter of the hose also resulted in less water flow than a standard garden hose.
  4. Durability Issues:
    • After just a few uses, the hose split near the faucet, rendering it completely useless.

Final Thoughts

While it was only $9, I’ve had much better luck with other inexpensive items from Temu. Unfortunately, this was not one of them. I ended up returning the hose and can’t recommend it to anyone.
